Enrique Pedraza-Botero is a visual artist, filmmaker, and media executive from Bogotá, Colombia. He was named one of Vimeo’s Breakout Creators and a New America Fellow.
He is Director of Documentary and Visual Storytelling at the Shorenstein Center at Harvard Kennedy School, advancing research and innovation at the intersection of documentary, nonfiction media, and a rapidly evolving information environment.
His film Alpha Kings premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2023 and won the Grand Jury Prize for Social Commentary at AFI Fest. It is now available to stream on The New Yorker and Vimeo Staff Picks. His latest short film, No se ve desde acá, screened at New Directors/New Films, won Best Documentary Short at Palm Springs ShortFest, and received the Santa Lucia Award for Best Editing at Bogoshorts. It premiered on PBS and Reel South in 2026.
His work has screened at MoMA, Film at Lincoln Center, True/False Film Fest, Camden International Film Festival, Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, Museum of the Moving Image, and other venues and festivals internationally. He is currently developing his first feature film and working on a new project about military futurism, surveillance tactics, and public space.
Enrique holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film & Television from the New York Film Academy and a Master of Fine Arts in Documentary Film & Video from Stanford University.
